How to Play MX vs. ATV Untamed
Quick start
Select Custom Event and Practice for an available course. Choose Amateur and a bike or ATV, then practise one corner and a suspension pre-load jump. After a clean lap, enter X-Cross Tournament or the timed Stunt Challenge with the same vehicle.
Controls
Left/right steers; up/down shifts weight and pre-loads suspension. A accelerates, B brakes and A+B reverses; L is the clutch. On bikes/ATVs use the shown X, Y and R combinations for aerial tricks, finishing before landing. START pauses; menus accept with A or stylus and go back with B.

Untamed's DS courses put bikes and ATVs into compact races built around bends, ramps and controlled landings. X-Cross Tournament awards cup points over several races, while Stunt Challenge measures aerial tricks within a three-minute limit. Custom Event can set the course, laps, competitors and Practice, making a quiet first lap useful before racing. Shift weight and pre-load the suspension to shape a jump, complete a stunt and straighten before landing. Begin on Amateur with one vehicle, then compare how another handles the same course. Sandrail and golf buggy choices appear after their unlock requirements; they should not be assumed available at the start. Begin with the opening instructions and practice the main interaction before pursuing optional rewards. Read the current objective, make one deliberate choice and watch its effect before repeating it. A short first session makes it easier to separate a missed instruction from a difficult challenge. Return to the available menu when you need to check progress or adjust your approach, then continue from the next clear objective.
