My Virtual Tutor - Reading - 1st Grade to 2nd Grade — About this game
This edition targets the transition from first to second grade. Choose between listening to a story, word-based reading practice, interactive questions and a painting activity. The tutor helps connect the story with what you are being asked to recognise, so begin with a short passage before entering a question. The DS is held like a book and the touch screen handles selections. Read the requested action carefully: listening to a page is different from answering about it. Revisit the passage after a mistake, compare the available words and submit a considered response before turning the page. Painting provides a separate creative break while the story is heard.
