Quick start
Explore the dock and nearby buildings, read the library clues and note a symbol or setting before operating a machine. Change one element at a time and compare the response.
Controls
Tap the scene with the DS stylus to move and interact with hotspots. Drag only when the object calls for a motion, such as striking a match. Use the magnifier for text and the notepad’s keyboard for notes.
Myst — About this game
A strange book leads you to an island whose buildings, switches and written records conceal routes to other Ages. Progress comes from linking observations across locations rather than defeating enemies. Start at the dock, inspect nearby landmarks and read the library material before entering settings into a machine. Compare symbols and sounds with what you have already discovered. The DS tools include a magnifying view for small text and a typed notepad; recording a clue accurately is more useful than randomly adjusting every switch. Return to a puzzle when a new observation explains a part you did not understand.
