How to Play Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir
Quick start
Choose Single Player, Story Mode and Rookie for an untimed introduction. Read the opening briefing and begin searching the Rich mansion scenes. Check the object list and full-scene overview on the upper screen, then slide the lower view to inspect small areas. Tap only the objects requested on the current list. Follow each puzzle's instructions as it appears. An asterisk beside an object signals that an investigative tool is needed; use tools when the story has made them available.
Controls
Slide the stylus on the lower screen to scroll and tap an object to collect it. D-pad also scrolls; X/A/B/Y scroll up/right/down/left respectively. L or R selects the Hand Tool. Tap the Crime Computer icon to choose available tools; tap it again to return to normal searching. Blow into the microphone for a blowing action, or press L+R together for the same effect. Tap the hint icon for help and press START for pause/options.
Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir — About this game
Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir builds a DS investigation around the missing Phil T. Rich and a cast of suspicious acquaintances. Each scene presents a list of objects hidden in a detailed picture. The upper screen provides an overview while you scroll through the enlarged lower view and tap discoveries. Tools add different ways to examine the scene: X-ray reveals objects behind others, the Super Straw clears obstructions and goggles help with underwater searches. Puzzles and minigames connect the searches as clues accumulate. Rookie difficulty gives you unlimited search time and more generous hints, while Detective adds time pressure and fewer, less precise hints. Observation and knowing when to use a tool drive progress.
