How to Play Asteroids Hyper 64
Quick start
Choose Single Player, New Game, Normal and Dagger for a balanced first ship. Learn left/right rotation before adding short bursts of A thrust and B fire. Try the shield and special-weapon buttons separately so you know them before the field becomes crowded.
Controls
Default: D-pad left/right rotates; A thrusts; B fires; C-left uses a special weapon; Z shields; C-down flips; R activates hyperspace; START pauses. Charged fire requires holding B for five seconds, then releasing; Dagger has no charged weapon.
Asteroids Hyper 64 — About this game
Asteroids Hyper 64 puts you in a pilot’s seat for the Astro-Mining Corporation, clearing dangerous space for its operations. Steering is split between rotating the ship and applying thrust, with shields, special weapons and hyperspace adding defensive choices. Starting ships trade handling against protection: Dagger is balanced, while Longsword favors shields over thrust and turning. The campaign groups stages into fifteen-level zones, with opportunities to save after a zone or when ships run out.
