How to Play Bakuretsu Muteki Bangaioh

Quick start

Press any button at the title, use the D-pad to select 戦いのドアをあける and register a name. Choose the first stage, 1丁目. With the default shot setting, move with the D-pad and aim with the stick. Use L to switch between Riki and Mami, collect fruit for bomb energy and defeat the stage boss. Hold R or Z to charge a bomb once you have at least 50 energy.

Controls

Default stick setting: D-pad moves and a double tap dashes; the stick aims your shots. B fires forward and C buttons provide directional fire. A moves directly upward. L switches Riki/Mami. R or Z charges and releases a bomb, requiring at least 50 energy and charging up to 100; you cannot move or shoot while charging. If the stick is assigned to movement, Z switches between Riki and Mami.

Bakuretsu Muteki Bangaioh — About this game

Bangai-O moves freely through compact shooting stages, with an enemy boss to defeat at the end of each challenge. Switch between Riki's homing shots, which stop at walls, and Mami's bouncing shots to suit the space around you. The default controls separate movement on the D-pad from aiming with the stick, letting you fly one way and shoot another. Fruit replenishes bomb energy. With enough energy, charge a bomb to erase nearby enemy bullets and return a much larger barrage; charging leaves you unable to move or fire. Timing that counterattack against crowded screens gives the game its rhythm. Running out of stage time reduces the clear reward rather than immediately ending the game.
