How to Play Banjo-Tooie
Quick start
Start a new save and explore Spiral Mountain after the opening. Use B near the molehills if you need reminders of the basic moves. When ready, follow Klungo into the tunnel; after that encounter, continue to Jinjo Village and visit King Jingaling.
Controls
Stick: move; A: jump, hold for more height; B: attack, read signs or talk in context; Z: crouch; C left/right: rotate camera; C down: camera distance; C up: first-person view; hold R: camera behind Banjo; START: pause. New moves add combinations as you learn them.
Banjo-Tooie — About this game
Banjo-Tooie expands the bear-and-bird adventure into worlds whose routes and tasks connect. Jiggies open the way to new areas, while musical notes let Jamjars teach abilities used in puzzles and combat. Later moves can solve an obstacle you found much earlier, making return visits part of progression. Banjo and Kazooie also gain opportunities to separate and use different skills. Transformations, bosses and minigames vary the exploration, but reading a task carefully often matters as much as reaching the next platform.
