How to Play Battlezone: Rise of the Black Dogs
Quick start
Choose Single Player and start with Arcade or Training. Use C-up/down for thrust/reverse, stick to turn and aim vertically, and C-left/right to strafe. Fire with Z, switch weapons with B and jump with R. Move on to Pilot before Commander; START pauses and shows your objectives.
Controls
C-up thrusts, C-down reverses, stick left/right turns and up/down pitches the reticle; C-left/right strafes. Z shoots, B switches weapons, R jumps and L leaves the vehicle. On-foot sniper zoom uses C-up/down. START pauses/views objectives. In Commander only, A or D-pad opens the command menu and D-pad navigates it.

Battlezone combines direct vehicle combat with command decisions. Arcade introduces ships and weapons, while Training makes its lessons available from the start. Pilot Mode lets the computer build the base and manage resources as you follow orders and concentrate on combat. Commander hands those responsibilities to you, requiring information about the enemy and careful decisions about when to fight or direct the action. Inside a vehicle you can turn, strafe, change weapons and jump; leaving it puts you on foot with a different view of the battlefield.
