How to Play Bomberman 64

Quick start

Choose Adventure, select an unused file and choose Normal or Hard. On World Select, choose one of the four available worlds. Green Garden introduces bomb-based puzzles: place a bomb with A, pick it up with B, then press B again to throw it. Learn to leave the blast area before pumping up larger bombs.

Controls

Stick lightly to walk, farther to run. A places a bomb; after picking one up, tap A repeatedly to enlarge it. B picks up a placed bomb or stunned enemy; B again throws it. B also talks/reads signs. Run into a bomb to kick it, or stand still and press A twice to place then kick; R stops a kicked bomb. Z detonates Remote Bombs only. C left/right rotates the camera, C up/down zooms; camera adjustment is unavailable in boss fights and Battle. START pauses.

Bomberman 64 — About this game

Bomberman 64 turns bomb handling into both a weapon and a tool for exploring three-dimensional stages. Following the mysterious Sirius’s advice, Bomberman sets out to destroy the bases of Altair’s allies and protect Planet Bomber. The adventure begins with four accessible worlds; completing them opens the final one. Each world contains four stages with enemies, puzzles and hidden traps. Carrying, throwing and pumping up bombs helps overcome different obstacles, while a bomb placed across a gap can serve as a stepping stone. Gems earned from defeated enemies add continues as you collect them. Local Battle supports up to four players, shifting the focus from exploration to direct competition.
