Doubutsu no Mori — About this game
A train journey brings you to a village of animal neighbours, where choosing a house and helping the shopkeeper lead into an open daily routine. Talk to residents, send letters, shop for furniture and arrange your rooms, or take a rod and net outdoors to catch fish and insects. The clock follows real time: day and night, the seasons and the shop's changing stock give each visit a different rhythm. Earning money and repaying the house loan offer long-term goals, but there is room to spend a quiet day exploring and decorating. This is the original N64 village, with its own facilities and routines.
