How to Play F-Zero X Expansion Kit

Quick start

At the title with the 64DD logo, press A or START and choose the course editor. Consult the H help icon, then use Create, Point, Course and Set. Place four points in a rough square with A; the fourth closes the loop automatically and the second marks the start. Select the test-drive shortcut on the left. In the drive, use A to accelerate, the stick to steer and C-down to brake. Pause with START and choose Quit to return to editing.

Controls

Editor: stick moves the cursor, A selects/places points and B undoes or goes back. C pans the camera; hold Z with the stick for faster submenu navigation. Select H for help. Test drive uses the cartridge's basic racing layout: A accelerates, stick steers and C-down brakes. START opens the pause menu; Quit returns to the editor. This is the 64DD add-on, requiring F-Zero X.

F-Zero X Expansion Kit — About this game

This original 64DD add-on depends on the F-Zero X cartridge and extends its racing with twelve tracks across the DD1 and DD2 cups. The course editor starts with a simple loop: place four points to join the track, with the second point becoming the start line. From there, develop the course and use the test-drive shortcut to check it before returning to edit. A separate vehicle editor adjusts body, boost and grip, while Edit Cup brings edited courses into a racing format. The editor's H help icon explains its tools. Building a short loop and driving it is a practical way to learn how an idea on the map behaves on the track.
