How to Play FIFA 99
Quick start
At Match Select highlight Quick Start and press A. On Controller Select move the stick left/right to your preferred team, then press START. Begin with A passes, B shots and short C-left sprints; recover position before committing to a slide tackle.
Controls
Stick moves and aims. With the ball A passes, B shoots and C-down lobs; holding the lob button sends it higher. Without the ball A switches to the player nearest the ball, B tackles and C-down slides. Tap C-left to sprint; START pauses. Menus use A to select, B to return and R/Z for the menu bar.
FIFA 99 — About this game
FIFA 99 offers a short route to the pitch alongside longer team competitions. Quick Start launches a friendly with default options, while Season and the European Dream League give each match a place in a wider campaign. You can also create a custom league or cup. On the ball, choose a receiver for a pass, lift a lob over defenders or aim a shot with the stick. Tapping sprint gives brief bursts but tires players. When possession changes, the same core buttons switch to selecting a defender, tackling and sliding, so keeping your shape matters as much as attacking.
