How to Play Harvest Moon 64
Quick start
Start a new file, name your farmer, ranch and dog and select a birthday season. Check the calendar and weather, clear a small patch and prepare soil with the hoe. Buy seasonal seeds, water the planted squares and use the diary to save before sleeping.
Controls
Stick: move and select; A: talk, pick up, give or throw held items; B: use equipped tool; START: rucksack/pause; C up: store held item; C down: eat an edible held item; Z: identify selected item; L/R: rotate farm view.

Harvest Moon 64 balances daily work with village life. Clear the neglected fields, sow crops suited to the season and water them until harvest. Selling produce funds animals, supplies and improvements, but every task takes time and physical energy.
