How to Play J-League Eleven Beat 1997
Quick start
Press START past the opening and title, then choose プレシーズンマッチ. Select your club and the opponent, confirm the match rules and choose イージータイプ at controller selection. Set the line-up, confirm OK and complete the coin toss before kick-off. Use the stick to select, A to confirm and B to return.
Controls
Easy Type: the stick sets direction and movement speed. In possession, A shoots in the opponent's half or clears in your own; B searches for a teammate to pass to. C-left sends a lofted pass, C-right a ground pass, and A+B jumps. Defending: A shoulder-tackles and B slides. During open play START pauses; when the ball is out it opens substitution instructions.
J-League Eleven Beat 1997 — About this game
J-League Eleven Beat 1997 gives its footballers a playful, oversized-headed look while keeping team selection and tactics part of the match. Preseason Match offers a single fixture to learn the game, and J.League follows the league schedule toward a title. Easy controls simplify passing and finishing; Master adds more control over kick strength and ball flight. Before playing, adjust the side and formation, then choose from tactical plans to suit the situation. Longer competitions make player condition, injuries and cards matter between fixtures. Training offers a place to practise team play, and custom formations let you develop a shape of your own.
