How to Play Jikkyō Powerful Pro Yakyū Basic-ban 2001
Quick start
Press START and select 対戦 with A. Choose ひとりで, teams, stadium and order; confirm the lineup with OK. In options select Aタイプ and 3Dスティック操作, then set unfamiliar actions to automatic while learning. Move the batting cursor and swing with A. For a short practice session, select キャンプ or ホームラン競争.
Controls
A type with stick: aim the batting cursor, A swings, hold C-down to bunt, R switches normal/power hitting. Pitching: stick chooses type, A starts the motion, then stick aims the catcher mitt. Fielding: stick moves; with the ball C-right throws first, C-up second, C-left third, C-down home. Running: C-up advances all, C-right returns all. START pauses; menu A confirms/B returns.

Build matches around your chosen teams and lineups, adjusting automatic or manual control for pitching, batting, running and fielding. Batting uses a movable contact cursor; power hitting seeks stronger contact with a smaller target, while pitch type and catcher-mitt placement shape defense. Arrange lets you organize a custom team. Pennant follows the season with standings and individual results, and League supports up to six teams. Camp breaks the fundamentals into focused exercises, including a batting timing meter. Home Run Competition counts how many homers you can hit from ten pitches, offering a shorter test of timing and power.
