How to Play Jikkyou J.League 1999 - Perfect Striker 2
Quick start
Press START and choose プレシーズンマッチ, then the single-match option. Select player count and sides, clubs, handicap and stadium, and confirm the match settings. In コントローラーエディット, use タイプ1 for the controls below. On the edit-select screen, choose 試合開始 and press A. Menus use the stick or D-pad, A to confirm and B to return.
Controls
Type 1: stick dribbles and aims passes; A makes a search pass, B shoots, C-up sends a through pass, C-left plays a lofted ball and C-down sprints. Watch the pass cursor to see the intended receiver. Defending, A challenges for the ball and C-left slides. R switches the controlled player according to the selected cursor setting.

For direct play, use the receiver cursor to choose a pass, send through balls into space and balance dribbling with sprints that use stamina. Line-up, formation and player motivation also matter before kick-off. Training lets you learn the controls, while Preseason Match and mini-leagues provide shorter competitions with local opponents or teammates.
