How to Play Killer Instinct Gold
Quick start
Choose a fighter in Practice and press Z for the move list. Learn the six attacks and holding away to block, then try a short listed combo from opener to ending before Arcade.
Controls
Default: stick/D-pad moves; up jumps, down crouches, away blocks, down-away blocks low. B quick punch; A quick kick; C left medium punch; C down medium kick; C up fierce punch; C right fierce kick. Z move list in Practice; START starts/selects/pauses. Button Setup changes assignments.
Killer Instinct Gold — About this game
Killer Instinct Gold makes combo structure central to each duel. Openers lead into doubles, linking moves and end finishers, while predictable sequences invite a counter. Three strengths of punches and kicks create different openings and timing. Each fighter has two life bars; losing the first briefly interrupts the action rather than resetting a conventional round. Practice mode’s move list helps you study one character before Arcade and team battles.
