Quick start
Press START at the title and choose Pre-Season with the stick or D-pad, confirming with A or START. Select the two teams, move your controller icon beneath your team and continue through the matchup screen. Use A to pass and hold B, then release it near the jump’s peak to shoot.
Controls
Stick moves; Z uses turbo. On offense A passes, B jumps/shoots on release and R protects the dribble; R+Z opens position-pass icons. Defensively A attempts a steal, B jumps/blocks/rebounds and R shuffles. C-down switches nearest the ball, C-up nearest the hoop. START pauses; menu B returns.

Kobe Bryant in NBA Courtside builds its basketball around player movement, shot release and energy. Gentle stick movement walks, a stronger tilt jogs or runs, and turbo drains a bar that recovers when unused. Find a teammate with a directional pass, protect the dribble or set a screen before shooting at the top of the jump. Defense adds shuffling, steals, blocks and switches to players near the ball or hoop. Free throws use a separate alignment task: start the shot, then move an overlay hoop into line with the basket. Pre-Season supplies single games; Season and Playoffs let you play or simulate scheduled matchups and review statistics.
