How to Play Mario Golf
Quick start
From the title screen, enter the main menu, choose one player and an available character, then select Training. Inspect the landing area and wind, adjust the club and aim, and use three A presses to start the gauge, set power and time impact.
Controls
Control Stick: change club and aim; A: confirm and time the swing; B: change shot type; R: landing-area view; C buttons: terrain view; Z+Control Stick: impact point; Z+R: course map; START: pause. Swing timing uses A to start, set power and set impact.
Mario Golf — About this game
Mario Golf gives each shot a sequence of decisions: inspect the lie, judge wind and distance, select a club, then time the power gauge. Characters have different driving distances and ball trajectories, so the longest hitter is not always the easiest choice. Tournament results earn course points that unlock more courses. Ring Shot asks you to send the ball through suspended rings and still finish within par, while Training lets you work on the fundamentals without committing to a full round.
