How to Play Mario Party 3
Quick start
Press START, select a save file and choose Party Mode for configurable board play or Story Mode for the solo challenge. For a first Party match, choose a Battle Royal board and set participants and turns; check the next minigame’s controls before starting.
Controls
Control Stick: selections and map scrolling; A: confirm or hit the Dice Block; B: cancel or use items; R: scroll the board or practise a minigame; Z: full board; START: pause or start a minigame. Follow each minigame’s own instructions rather than assuming one fixed action button.
Mario Party 3 — About this game
The Millennium Star sets the stage for another contest among Mario’s friends. Battle Royal boards mix coin collecting, Star purchases and minigames for four characters, while Duel boards pit two rivals against each other with partners who attack or defend. Story Mode links board challenges into a solo progression. Items and the separate rules of the two board types reward planning as well as quick reactions, so learning one mode does not replace reading the other’s instructions.
