How to Play Michael Owen's WLS 2000
Quick start
For a first game, choose the basic Controller Mode in Game Ease and choose an exhibition through Play Game. Set the teams and continue through the pre-game choices with A. Move with the stick, pass with A and try Z or C-down for a shot at goal. Avoid sliding with A when an opponent has the ball until you can judge the distance.
Controls
Basic scheme: stick runs and directs play; A passes with the ball and slides without it. B kicks a grounded ball, heads an airborne ball or attempts a hook tackle. Z or C-down shoots at goal/volleys; C-left sprints/knocks the ball on. START pauses. Menu stick selects, A confirms and B returns.
Michael Owen's WLS 2000 — About this game
Michael Owen's WLS 2000 combines team football with match and competition choices. Use an exhibition to learn how passing lanes open, then carry those decisions into a league or cup run. Basic controls keep passing, ordinary kicks and goal attempts separate, while Professional adds more involved combinations. A grounded ball and an airborne one call for different responses: a kick can become a header, and possession changes the pass button into a sliding challenge. Set the difficulty to your level, build attacks through teammates and reserve sprints for a useful gap rather than running straight into defenders.
