How to Play Midway's Greatest Arcade Hits - Volume 1
Quick start
Choose Joust from the arcade with directions and A. Press START to open its menu and choose One Player Start. Move left/right with D-pad and tap A to flap; gain height before meeting an enemy rider and collect eggs before they hatch. Use START and Back to Arcade to try another game.
Controls
Menus: D-pad/stick chooses, A confirms, B returns, START pauses. Defaults: Joust D-pad left/right moves, A flaps; Robotron D-pad moves and C-buttons fire in their directions; Tapper D-pad moves, A serves. Defender D-pad moves, C-left shoots, C-up smart bomb, C-down hyperspace. Sinistar stick moves, A shoots, B bombs. Spy Hunter D-pad drives, B shifts, A van; C-down gun, C-left smoke, C-right oil, C-up missile.
Midway's Greatest Arcade Hits - Volume 1 — About this game
This virtual arcade contains Defender, Joust, Robotron 2084, Root Beer Tapper, Spy Hunter and Sinistar. Defender combines alien shooting with rescuing falling civilians; Joust rewards approaching enemy riders from above and collecting their eggs. Robotron separates movement from firing as you save humans. Tapper asks you to serve customers and catch empty glasses. Spy Hunter adds traffic, weapons and supply vans, while Sinistar turns mined crystals into bombs against a growing space menace. Each game has settings and remappable controls, and Arcade Trivia tests knowledge between games.
