How to Play Mike Piazza's Strike Zone

Quick start

Start with Single Game and choose two teams. Learn the A-button swing before using B to bunt. When pitching, open the pitch menu with Z and try A plus up for a fastball; vary your deliveries as you learn. In the field, secure the ball before choosing the base for your throw.

Controls

Batting: A swings; B enters or leaves the bunt stance and directs a bunt after the pitch. Pitching: Z opens the pitch menu; A plus up throws a fastball. Fielding: the stick moves; A performs a contextual action. With the ball, C-right throws to first, C-up to second, C-left to third and C-down home. Baserunning: Z advances all runners and R returns them. START pauses.

Mike Piazza's Strike Zone — About this game

Mike Piazza's Strike Zone follows the changing demands of baseball: judge a pitch at the plate, vary deliveries on the mound, then move a fielder into position and choose a base for the throw. Harder pitches are harder to hit but drain the pitcher faster, so a fresh arm and a varied repertoire matter alongside timing. Single Game provides a direct matchup, while Season Play adds lineups, trades and the option to draft a league. Home Run Derby offers a more focused batting contest away from the demands of a full game.
