How to Play Monopoly
Quick start
On first startup, select the American flag and confirm with A. After the introduction, press START and choose Standard Game. Use Add Human to select a token and enter a name; add a computer opponent and choose its personality, then select Start Game. On your turn, press A to roll the dice and follow the action icons at the bottom.
Controls
Stick highlights choices and adjusts values; A confirms and, on your turn, rolls the dice. At an unowned-property offer, A buys and B sends it to auction under the default rules. In an auction, Z bids and the stick changes the amount. B cancels menus; hold L for button help; START opens the pause menu. Actions depend on the current screen.
Monopoly — About this game
Monopoly brings the property game to a three-dimensional board with animated tokens and up to four human or computer players. In Standard Game, buying color groups and building on them raises the rent, while trades and mortgages help reshape your holdings or raise cash. Short Game ends at the first bankruptcy and compares the remaining players’ wealth; Timed Game sets a fixed finish. Human players can share a controller. The pause menu can save one game on the cartridge, with saving available between turns when indicated.
