How to Play Mortal Kombat Trilogy
Quick start
Choose START, Mortal Kombat mode and a fighter. At Choose Your Destiny, select NOVICE for a shorter opening route. Practise the four attack buttons and R blocking before using runs to approach an opponent.
Controls
Default: stick/D-pad moves; up jumps, down crouches. B high punch; A low punch; C up high kick; C right low kick; R or C left blocks; L or C down runs. START selects or opens menus. Kontrol Konfigure can change assignments; directions reverse when sides change.

Mortal Kombat Trilogy separates high and low punches and kicks, giving each exchange a choice of reach and position. A dedicated block command protects against incoming attacks, while running closes distance quickly. Life bars determine the round, and the first fighter to take two rounds wins the match. Solo play offers different opponent towers through Choose Your Destiny; other modes build teams of fighters or a tournament. Learn one character’s attacks and defensive timing before committing to a longer route.
