How to Play NASCAR 2000
Quick start
Press START, choose QUICK RACE and press A at the track logo. The computer drives until the race begins; take control when the green flag waves. For setup work, use SINGLE RACE and PRACTICE before QUALIFY or RACE. Try one setup change at a time so its effect is easier to feel.
Controls
Default: stick or D-pad steers, A accelerates, B brakes. With manual gears L shifts down and R up. C left toggles overlays, C down changes view and START pauses. In menus use directions, A to select and B to return. Pit service uses up/down to choose and left/right to change settings.
NASCAR 2000 — About this game
NASCAR 2000 connects driving with the choices made before and during a race. Car Setup shows how changes affect speed, acceleration, handling and pit distance. More rear spoiler can improve rear grip while costing top speed; tire pressure and gearing create further compromises. Practice gives you space to judge a change before qualifying and racing. Quick Race uses the current setup and options, so those choices can follow you into a short event. Championship stretches the challenge over a season, rewarding the discipline of repeated results. Pit service lets you manage fuel, tires and adjustments. Learn the car’s balance before treating every corner as a chance to attack.
