How to Play NBA Hangtime
Quick start
Press START, choose Start Game with the D-pad and START, then select your controller port. Follow the name/PIN screen and Select Teams to choose your side. Begin with short passes, use A for turbo and release C-down near the top of a shooting jump.
Controls
Default controls: D-pad moves; A uses turbo, C-down shoots and C-right passes. On defense, A+C-down blocks/rebounds, C-right steals and A+C-right makes hard contact. START pauses. Controls can be reassigned in Options.
NBA Hangtime — About this game
Two players per side keep every possession moving between a quick pass, a jump shot and a run at the rim. Turbo gives bursts of speed but drains its meter, which refills when you ease off. Hold the shoot button to delay release and try letting go at the top of the jump; defensive blocks and steals demand their own timing. Up to four players can join the action, while Create Player lets you trade attribute points between strengths and choose special privileges. Team selection, substitutions and optional rule settings give the arcade matches room for different lineups and styles.
