How to Play NBA Jam 2000
Quick start
Press START at the title, highlight Simulation or JAM and press START again. For a short arcade match, choose JAM Play, move your controller under a player, select teams and confirm with A. Pass with B and release A at the top of the jump to shoot.
Controls
Default: stick moves, A shoots/jumps and B passes. Hold A to jump and release to shoot; without possession near the basket it attempts a rebound. Z uses turbo and C-right opens play calling. Menu A confirms, B returns and C-up shows help.

NBA Jam 2000 splits its basketball into two distinct styles. Simulation offers full-team exhibitions, seasons and playoffs, supported by play calling, roster management and player creation. JAM strips the action down to two players per side with no fouls and few rules, letting extravagant dunks dominate. Three unanswered baskets by a player trigger a hot streak with better shooting chances. JAM Tournament rewards enough wins with secret courts, while Skills Mode gives free-throw and three-point practice. A season can stand alone or use Franchise play to keep building the team over several years.
