How to Play NBA Live 2000
Quick start
Choose Game Setup with A, then select Arcade. Highlight home or away with up/down, change teams with left/right and press START. On User Setup choose the side you control and press START again. Practice A passes and B jump-and-release shots before trying One on One.
Controls
D-pad or stick moves. B jumps/shoots; release after jumping to shoot. A passes in attack and changes defender. C-left sprints; with the ball C-up calls for a screen, C-right crosses over and C-down taps a spin/holds a back-down move. Defensively C-down steals. START pauses; menu A confirms/B returns.

NBA Live 2000 adds a playground duel to its team basketball: One on One puts you against an NBA player with no teammates or referees to help. Arcade emphasizes high-flying dunks and effects such as a flaming ball for a hot player, while Exhibition, Season and Playoffs support longer team competition. The three-point shootout offers another way to focus on scoring. Pass toward an open teammate, call for a screen or change direction with dribble moves; hold the shoot button to jump and release it to send the ball. Four difficulty levels let you increase the challenge up to Superstar.
