How to Play NFL Blitz 2000
Quick start
Choose ARCADE, then PLAY. Assign the active controllers to player positions, press A and choose teams with up/down and A. Pick a play and press A or B at the line to snap. Use direction plus A to pass, or C-left/C-up/C-right for the receiver who started left/center/right. Keep some Z turbo for runs and defensive pursuit.
Controls
Default: stick/D-pad moves; A or B snaps. Behind the line, direction+A passes; C-left/up/right directly passes to the receiver who started left/center/right, even after crossing routes. B jumps and held Z uses turbo. Defense: A switches players, B dive-tackles. START pauses.
NFL Blitz 2000 — About this game
NFL Blitz 2000 combines quick football action with distinct roles in four-player games: each side has two people, with one controlling the quarterback and the other a receiver free to choose a route. Direct C-button passes keep their original receivers even when routes cross. Strong play can put the team On Fire, boosting speed and power after three consecutive catches by one receiver or two consecutive defensive sacks. Arcade provides immediate matches, Tournament organizes a competition, the single-player Season heads toward the Super Bowl and the Play Editor supports offensive and defensive designs.
