How to Play NFL Blitz Special Edition
Quick start
For a first match choose ARCADE, then PLAY with A. Assign controllers, press A, pick teams and confirm. Select a play and use A or B to snap. Once you know the basics, open PLAYBOOK EDITOR to build tactics. Before a snap, hold C-down and press left/right to choose an audible, then release C-down to activate it.
Controls
Default: stick/D-pad moves, Z turbo, A or B snaps. Behind the line direction+A passes; C-left/up/right chooses the original left/center/right receiver even after crossing routes. B hurdles; on defense A changes player, B dive-tackles or intercepts/swats an airborne ball. Before the snap hold C-down+left/right, then release C-down for an audible. START pauses; menu A selects/B returns.
NFL Blitz Special Edition — About this game
NFL Blitz: Special Edition pairs quick arcade matches with a play editor for shaping your own attack and defense. Set receiver routes, choose defensive assignments, preview a play or test it against the opposition, then arrange your playbook and audibles. At the line, an audible changes the plan before the snap. Season lets you play or simulate the next week and compare results and statistics; Tournament supports single elimination or best-of-three rounds with chosen or random matchups. Up to four players split into two per side, and Party Games provide shorter scoring, defending and passing challenges.
