How to Play Paperboy
Quick start
Press START, select NEW GAME and choose Paperboy or Papergirl if you want to change the rider. Select GO, then EASY STREET. Choose an available route with directions and A. Tap A to gain speed, brake with B and aim for subscribers’ porches or mailboxes using left/right throws.
Controls
Default: stick/D-pad steers; tap A repeatedly to accelerate, B brakes; L throws left (Z when using the stick), R throws right. Tap for soft throw or hold/release for aimed hard throw. C-down jumps, held for height; A+B powerslide; C-left uses an item, C-up zooms, C-right looks around; START pauses.
Paperboy — About this game
Deliver to subscribers before time or health runs out, dodging traffic, animals and other neighborhood hazards. A successful porch or mailbox delivery earns points and extra time; distant mailbox hits are especially rewarding. Tap for a soft throw or hold the button to aim a stronger one with the targeting arrow. Completing deliveries attracts new subscribers and eventually opens more neighborhoods. Jumps and tricks add points and time, while collected power-ups offer short-lived help. Papers can knock down some obstacles, but they do not stop cars.
