How to Play Puyo Puyo Sun 64
Quick start
Choose ひとりでぷよぷよ, then Draco's easy route for three practice battles. Aim for a group of four, then watch the pieces above fall. Leave space near the top of the third column and start with a small chain before trying to include Sun Puyo.
Controls
The stick or D-pad moves the falling Puyo. A, B and the C buttons rotate them; rotation directions can be assigned in Options. START pauses. Avoid filling the third column from the left to the top. Clear nuisance and Sun Puyo by removing normal Puyo beside them.
Puyo Puyo Sun 64 — About this game
Puyo Puyo Sun 64 is a falling-pair puzzle built around groups of four matching colours. Removing one group can drop another into place, creating a chain that sends nuisance Puyo across the field. Nuisance pieces need an adjacent clear rather than a colour match of their own. Sun Puyo add a tactical reward: clearing them strengthens your attack, with larger chains making their effect more valuable. Three character routes offer different difficulties, while solo endurance and puzzle modes give other ways to work on placement without following the main story route.
