How to Play Quest 64
Quick start
Start at Melrode Monastery and speak to the people nearby with A. Search for supplies and spirits before leaving town. In your first encounter, move within the allowed area, select an element with a C button and use A to cast, or approach for a staff attack.
Controls
Stick: move; A: talk, collect and confirm; R: inventory; B: rotate view outside combat or cancel magic in battle; L: camera. In battle, C up/fire, left/earth, right/wind, down/water; A or Z attacks or casts. START opens status outside combat.
Quest 64 — About this game
Brian leaves Melrode Monastery to search for his missing father and a stolen book of magic. Exploring towns brings clues and supplies, while hidden spirits develop four elemental powers. Encounters create a bounded battle area: you choose positioning and actions rather than staying in a fixed line. Staff attacks and spells serve different situations, and collecting elements expands your magic options. Recovery and preparation matter when travelling between the safety of settlements.
