How to Play Robotron 64
Quick start
Choose One Player Game and confirm with A. For a first attempt, select Easy in Setup and keep the default walking-stick controls. Practice moving away from enemies while firing back with the C buttons. Rescue humans by touching them when you have room to approach.
Controls
Default single controller: stick or D-pad moves; C buttons fire in their marked directions, with two adjacent C buttons for diagonals. L or R switches camera and START pauses. A confirms menus, B cancels. The optional Two Fisted setup uses controllers 1+2 or 3+4 for separate movement and firing sticks.
Robotron 64 — About this game
Robotron 64 places Eugene among robot crowds, with movement and firing direction controlled independently. Clear the arena while touching humans to rescue them and earn points. Power-ups change the spread of fire or provide protection, while electrodes add obstacles and special arena effects. A single controller handles movement and eight-way shooting; an optional two-controller setup puts each function on a separate stick. Two-player games alternate turns after a death, with separate progress for each player.
