How to Play Super Robot Taisen 64
Quick start
Press START at the title and choose スタート with A, then complete the protagonist setup. Read the scenario and map objective. Select an ally with the D-pad and A, choose 移動 to position it and select an attack when a target is available. When your side is ready, open the overall commands on an empty square and choose フェイズ終了 to pass to the enemy.
Controls
D-pad or stick moves the cursor and selects commands. A confirms or opens a unit's command window; B cancels and opens the mini-command menu in context. L, R or Z cycles through allies that have not acted. C up shows the unit list and C down the overall map. Use menu commands for movement, attacks and ending a phase.
Super Robot Taisen 64 — About this game
The campaign links story scenes with tactical battles in which your side and the enemy act in alternating phases. Each map has its own objective, so selecting a deployment and reading the situation matter as much as dealing damage. Move units into position, choose attacks and manage HP, energy and ammunition while using recovery and support commands where needed. After clearing a map, the intermission lets you inspect pilots, spend funds on unit and weapon upgrades and fit enhancement parts. The protagonist and later decisions shape the route through the story, giving your growing force a campaign that extends beyond a single set of battles.
