How to Play Top Gear Rally
Quick start
Choose CHAMPIONSHIP in the main menu with the stick or pad and A. Read the season and pre-race information, especially the weather and points target. Press A to race the displayed track. Begin with the Type A controls below, or check your saved controller setup first.
Controls
Type A: stick steers and controls reverse; A accelerates, B brakes, and A+B applies the emergency brake. R shifts up and Z shifts down when using manual gears. C up changes view; START pauses. Menus use stick/pad to highlight, A to select and B to return. Other control types change the layout.
Top Gear Rally — About this game
Top Gear Rally builds its Championship around seasons rather than one isolated race. You face nineteen computer-controlled cars and earn points from your finishing positions, aiming to collect enough to advance. The opening spring conditions are clear, but later seasons make visibility and road grip more demanding. New vehicle classes become available as you progress, letting you keep a familiar car or move to a faster one. Success requires learning braking points and adapting your line to the weather instead of treating every corner the same way. Before each race, the information screen lists the track, conditions and points required for the next season.
