How to Play Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue
Quick start
Choose Play Game and start a new game if needed. On the map, select Andy’s House with the stick and press A. Explore the room, use A twice to reach higher ledges, and begin a token task such as collecting coins for Hamm or finding Bo Peep’s five sheep.
Controls
Stick moves Buzz; A jumps and A again in the air double-jumps. B fires the laser; hold and release B for a charged shot. C down spins on the ground and stomps after a jump. R or C up enters helmet aiming; Z locks targets. C left/right turn the camera; START pauses.
Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue — About this game
Toy Story 2 sends Buzz Lightyear after Woody when a collector takes him from a yard sale. Rooms, streets and a toy store become large platforming playgrounds filled with ledges, enemies and switches. Buzz uses his laser, spin attack, double jump and stomp to get around and handle trouble. Pizza Planet Tokens open later areas on the map, with tasks ranging from bringing coins to Hamm and finding lost objects to solving puzzles, beating minibosses and winning timed challenges. Ordinary levels offer five tokens, though you do not need every one to advance. Returning to a level lets you pursue another task instead of following a single fixed route.
