How to Play Transformers: Beast Wars Transmetals
Quick start
Press START, choose Arcade and select a Transformer with A. Move left/right to choose its appearance and confirm with A. Begin with C-right's basic robot shot and Z jumps. Transform through vehicle form before Energon Resistance empties, then use beast form to refill it. Options can display the transformation-button guide.
Controls
Stick moves; menus A confirms/B cancels, START pauses. From robot or beast, A or B enters vehicle form; in vehicle A becomes robot, B beast. Z jumps in robot/beast only. Robot C-right basic shot, C-up deluxe, C-left mega, C-down block. Vehicle C-right dash, C-up missile, C-left beam; beast C-right/up/left attacks vary by character. R uses a life-consuming Transmetal Attack.

Transformers: Beast Wars Transmetals makes transformation part of both attack and defense. Robots use several chargeable shots and can block, but their Energon Resistance runs down; beast form replenishes it. Vehicle form links the other two forms and offers fast movement, a dash attack, missiles and beams. A brief transformation window can evade a shot, though recovery leaves an opening. Arcade follows seven opponents, VS sets up individual matches, and Team Battle uses four Transformers in sequence. The R-button Transmetal Attack clears nearby threats but spends your own life, so it is an emergency choice with a cost.
