How to Play Triple Play 2000
Quick start
Press START at the title screen, then C-up on Mode Select for Quick Start with random teams at Rookie difficulty. Begin with A for a normal swing. When pitching, choose a pitch with a C button and use A plus a direction for a strike-zone delivery. After fielding the ball, choose a base with the corresponding C button.
Controls
Batting: A normal swing, B power swing, C-down bunt. Pitching: C buttons choose the pitch; A plus a direction delivers in the strike zone, B plus a direction outside it. With the ball: C-right throws to first, C-up to second, C-left to third and C-down home. Baserunning: L or Z advances everyone; hold R and press L or Z to return everyone. START pauses; the stick and D-pad share movement functions.
Triple Play 2000 — About this game
Triple Play 2000 gives each trip to the plate a choice between a normal swing, a power swing and a bunt. Pitching has its own decisions: choose a pitch with the C buttons, then deliver it inside or outside the strike zone. Once the ball is in play, fielders and runners require a different set of commands, including throws mapped to the four bases. Quick Start selects random teams at Rookie difficulty, while the broader mode selection offers a season, playoffs and Home Run Challenge. Team Management adds roster work between games rather than limiting the experience to single matchups.
