How to Play Pyoro 64
Quick start
Keep the player count at one and select the first Pyoro game with directional input, then A or START. With default controls, move left/right with the stick. Hold A to extend the tongue and release A to retract it. Face your target before extending the tongue, and wait for it to return before moving again. START pauses; check the control settings if the inputs have been remapped.
Controls
Default controls: the stick moves left/right and turns the bird. Hold A to extend the tongue; release A to retract it. The bird cannot move while the tongue is out. START pauses. In menus, use the stick, D-pad or C directions to choose, A/START to confirm and B to return from submenus. Movement and attack inputs can be remapped in the control settings.
Pyoro 64 — About this game
This independently made N64 version of Pyoro turns a small playfield into a timing challenge. Move the bird along a row of floor blocks and hold A to extend its tongue diagonally towards falling beans. Release A to draw it back. Higher catches earn more points, but the bird stays still until the tongue returns. Beans that reach the ground destroy blocks, reducing the space available to move, and a direct hit defeats the bird. The project also includes an unlockable second game and adjustable controls. Each round calls for a balance between reaching valuable catches and leaving room to dodge the next bean.
