How to Play Wayne Gretzky's 3D Hockey '98
Quick start
Press START at the title. In Setup, open Options and choose Very Easy for a gentler first game; then return and select PLAY GAME for a Simulation match. Complete the pre-game and team selections with the D-pad and A. At the faceoff, aim with the D-pad and press A or B when the puck drops. Learn B passing before A shooting.
Controls
Default: D-pad moves/aims; A or Z shoots, B passes, C-down uses turbo and R switches players. A+B makes a one-timer with a CPU teammate; A+C-down takes a power shot. Defending: A kneels, B steals, C-left checks. START calls a timeout. Menus use D-pad, A to confirm and B to return.

Wayne Gretzky's 3D Hockey '98 offers two distinct ways to shape a match. Arcade uses three skaters and a goalie without penalties, while Simulation lets you adjust rules and choose three, four or five skaters. A compact rink keeps opponents close; regulation ice gives larger teams more space. Turbo helps players find an opening, and one-timers turn a teammate's pass into an immediate shot. Single games support up to four players, while season campaigns are one human against the computer, including a full schedule and a route into the playoffs.
