How to Play WCW/nWo Revenge
Quick start
Press START at the title, choose Exhibition and select Single Match for a first bout. Choose a wrestler with A, adjust wrestler strength and match rules, then press START to begin. Practice a short A press for a weak grapple and holding A for a strong one. Use B strikes to create openings and L to pin a downed opponent when pins are enabled.
Controls
Default: D-pad moves. Tap A for a weak grapple, hold A for a strong grapple; tap B for a weak attack, hold B for a strong one. R blocks/counters attacks; L avoids/counters grapples or pins a downed opponent. C-down runs, C-up enters/exits the ring, stick taunts. START pauses.
WCW/nWo Revenge — About this game
WCW/nWo Revenge makes a wrestler's momentum part of the contest through its Spirit Meter. Rising spirit strengthens moves, improves counters and makes a wrestler harder to pin; low spirit leaves them vulnerable to pins and submissions. At the Special state, taunting and a strong grapple lead into signature offense. Championship routes cover different belts, while Exhibition offers singles and tag matches with adjustable rules for pins, submissions, ring-outs and interference. Costume and name editing provide another way to shape the wrestlers you bring into the ring.
