How to Play World Driver Championship

Quick start

Press START to reach the main menu, choose Quick Race and use Car Select to pick an available car. Choose Practice and a track to learn the handling without committing to a career event. For Championship, enter a name, review the team offers and use Test Drive before Accept Offer if you want to compare cars.

Controls

Stick steers, A accelerates and B brakes. With manual gears, R shifts up and Z down. Reverse uses stick back+A; manual transmission must be in first gear. C up changes view, C down looks behind, L toggles displays and START pauses. Menus use directions and A; B returns.

World Driver Championship — About this game

World Driver Championship gives its races a career framework. In Championship you enter a driver name, consider initial GT2 offers and choose whether to test a car before accepting it. Results and career progress open more opportunities, making the choice of team and machinery part of the competition. Quick Race separates that progress from Practice, Arcade and Time Attack. Practice allows as many laps as you want, while Time Attack lets you compare your pace with ghost runs. Training supplies recommended speeds for sections of the track, and two-player Versus adds a local rival. Braking points and a suitable car matter as much as learning to shift quickly.
