How to Play WWF No Mercy

Quick start

Start an Exhibition bout and choose your wrestlers and rules. Move with the D-pad, tap A for a weak grapple and tap B for a weak strike before trying their held versions. Learn L against grapples and R against strikes; attempt a pin with L near a downed opponent.

Controls

Default: D-pad moves; stick taunts. Tap/hold A for weak/strong grapple; tap/hold B for weak/strong strike. C down runs, C up uses ropes/context actions, C right changes target. L reverses grapples or pins near a fallen rival; R counters strikes/releases holds. START pauses. Functions depend on position.

WWF No Mercy — About this game

WWF No Mercy distinguishes a quick grapple from a held strong grapple, then changes available moves with position and direction. Strikes also have weak and strong versions, giving you options before committing to a hold. Separate defensive buttons counter strikes and grapples. Taunting and the Attitude meter connect the match’s momentum to signature attacks. Exhibition offers varied matches, while Single Play pursues belts and unlocks. Ropes, turnbuckles, fallen opponents and partners all change what a button does, so learning one wrestler’s basic positions is a useful starting point.
