How to Play Zool - Majuu Tsukai Densetsu
Quick start
Choose はじめから and follow the opening story. In town, point to a place with the stick and confirm with A. On a normal map, push the stick up to walk forward, turn left/right and use A to check the map. At the first encounter, observe the automatic actions, select a beast with the stick and use C up for an attack order when command points are available.
Controls
Normal maps: stick up moves forward, left/right turns; A shows the map, B opens the menu. C up toggles AUTO walking; stick down stops automatic walking. C left/right turns 90 degrees, C down turns around. Town/menu: stick selects, A confirms, B cancels. Battle: stick selects a beast; C up attacks, C left supports, C right defends, C down attempts escape. START pauses battle.
Zool - Majuu Tsukai Densetsu — About this game
A young boy's affinity with magical beasts leads into a journey of exploration and recruitment. You can travel with up to eight beasts, but only four enter a battle, so the party order matters before an encounter. Creatures act on their own unless you intervene with attack, support, defense or escape instructions. Orders spend command points that recover over time, and stronger beasts can require more points to direct. Walking outside towns restores HP and MP, with reserves recovering more, while conversations after some victories offer recruitment opportunities. Building a team involves both choosing companions and deciding when an order is worth its cost.
