How to Play Nankin no Adventure
Quick start
Press START on the title to proceed. If "SET DISK SIDE B" appears, prepare side B in an environment that supports FDS side switching. When the story begins, select an action using the up or down buttons and confirm with A. When you get stuck, use the left and right buttons to page through the commands and look for actions you haven't tried yet. First, he greets the residents, and uses the reactions of their conversations and tricks as clues to decide his next move. You can check the save progress by pressing START.
Controls
Uses Controller I. Cross button up and down: Command selection. Left/Right: Switch display pages to see different commands. A: Decide/Input. B: Cancel the determined command. While displaying text, keep pressing A or B to display it faster, and when the continuation mark flashes, press A or B to proceed to the next step. START: Proceed from title/confirm save during game.
Nankin no Adventure — About this game
A command-selection adventure game in which Xavier comes to Japonais to spread civilization, and is at the mercy of the eccentric residents. Rather than reenacting a historical journey, the story is set in a world of jokes that transcend both time and common sense. The basics are to look at the situation, choose your actions, and look for opportunities to move on from the reactions in the conversation. Greeting others and remembering tricks you encounter will also lead to success. If you are stuck with only the displayed item, you may want to look at another page of commands. Even if you fail, you can immediately try again, so you can enjoy the strange characters and unexpected developments as you progress.
