How to Play Nanostray 2
Quick start
Start Adventure with Classic controls and select your secondary weapon before launch. The opening stage, Teppeki Dock, scrolls horizontally: stay low at first, then move upward while firing at the small ships. Destroy early waves and collect the satellite pickups. Once the satellites are equipped, use L/R to select a firing position that covers the next threat; use B selectively so energy lasts.
Controls
DS Classic layout: D-pad moves, A fires the primary weapon, B fires the selected secondary weapon, L/R changes satellite position and START pauses. Choose the secondary weapon and configure satellite presets before a stage. Other control layouts use touch movement; the bindings here apply specifically to Classic. Weapon selection is not the first game's four-button touch menu.
Nanostray 2 — About this game
Nanostray 2 pairs a fixed primary shot with a secondary weapon chosen before each stage. Satellite guns extend your coverage, and their positions can be arranged into presets before launch and changed during combat. Stages mix horizontal and vertical layouts, placing threats ahead, behind and alongside the ship; adjusting your fire matters as much as dodging. Clearing enemy waves provides satellite upgrades and blue coins that restore some secondary energy. Adventure introduces the campaign, while Challenge sets offer focused scoring and survival tasks. The Classic controls keep movement and firing on buttons, with additional touch-control layouts available for a different approach.
