How to Play Napoleon
Quick start
Select story mode from the title screen, proceed with the conversation, and decide which commander will sortie. Episode 1 "Old Friend" is a tutorial on basic operations. Place the Napoleon on horseback over your own soldiers, issue instructions with A, return to your base, and proceed to the enemy base while gathering infantry, cavalry, and artillery. The first goal is to capture the enemy base. If Napoleon's HP reaches 0, he will be defeated, so it is safe to not keep him on the front lines, but to overlap his injured allies and repeatedly hit B to recover them.
Controls
Cross button: Napoleon/instruction cursor movement, menu item selection. A: Decide, give orders to friendly troops while overlapping them. B: Recovers soldiers when repeatedly hit on friendly troops, and is used to cancel in the menu. The battle progresses in real time, but poses are possible. Since the individual functions of START, SELECT, L, and R could not be determined in the published materials, please follow the in-game display for specific assignments.
