How to Play NBA Pro 99
Quick start
Choose a single match, select the two teams and begin by moving the ball with short passes. Use the D-pad for the controlled player and A/B for the available passing and shooting actions. Watch which player is selected after possession changes, get back between the opponent and the hoop, and use START to pause when you need to review the situation.
Controls
The D-pad moves the selected player and menu cursor. A and B handle context-dependent passing, shooting and defensive actions; follow the displayed controls for the current situation. START pauses. Keep the selected-player marker in view when the ball changes hands.
NBA Pro 99 — About this game
A defender standing between the ball and the hoop makes an immediate shot less attractive. Move the ball to another teammate, approach from a clearer angle and leave room to recover if the attempt misses. On defense, protect the path to the basket instead of chasing the ball everywhere. A single match is a useful place to learn player selection and the timing of passes, shots and challenges before committing to a longer run.
